WISH PROGRAM

Many of our patients have end-of-life wishes they want to fulfill. In 2008 we created our WISH Program to help those wishes come true! Through our WISH Program, patients and families have gone on weekend trips, trips to visit loved ones, and fishing trips, to name a few. We’ve also helped throw memorable weddings, anniversary parties, and a solar eclipse party! Some wishes are big, and some are small, but each is unique and special to our patients. Funding for wishes is provided through donations by our generous financial partners like you!

SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM


Patients and families coping with life-limiting illnesses are already navigating emotional and physical challenges. When financial hardships are added to the mix, the burden can become overwhelming.


Our Special Needs Fund is designed to ease some of that strain by offering financial assistance to patients who are in need. This support can help cover essential expenses such as utility or fuel bills, groceries, clothing, or other critical needs. In the past, this fund has paid household bills to keep the lights on, bought groceries to feed families, repaired the brakes on a patient’s only means of transportation, and even provided an air conditioner during a sweltering summer—simple yet vital acts of care that bring comfort and dignity during a difficult time.


OTHER WAYS TO GIVE:


  • Planned Giving: Legacy gifts can be made through your estate plan to help the people we serve long past your lifespan. Providing for HPC - Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky in your will or naming us as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy are two of the many ways planned gifts may be made.
