THE CARE
Our dedicated Heartford House team consists of a medical director, nurses, aides, social workers, and spiritual and bereavement counselors. All team members are trained and dedicated to providing skilled medical and supportive care.
Temporary admissions to a hospice inpatient center may occur if the patient requires more specialized care than can be given at home, at a nursing facility, or an assisted living facility, or if the patient’s caregiver needs respite services. For instance, some conditions that may qualify for a short-term stay at The Heartford House are pain, nausea, vomiting, respiratory problems, anxiety, or extreme restlessness.
SERVICES AT THE HEARTFORD HOUSE INCLUDE
- Private rooms, each with a covered outdoor patio
- 24-hour nursing care is provided by hospice registered nurses and hospice aides who assist with personal care
- All patient meals are provided, with snacks and drinks available between meals. Every effort is made to accommodate a patient’s food preferences.
- Patient/family education and instruction
- Chapel/Meditation Room
- Family/friends may visit anytime and stay overnight.
- Stop by The Heartford House anytime for a tour.
